Tom Bolton, Granbury resident and Army veteran received a new ramp at his home on Saturday, March 18, 2017. He and his wife, Christine, had come to a point that it was necessary for their health and safety. MOAA allocated profits made from the 2016 Field of Flags event to construct the ramp and our local Rotary Club provided the man power.

Construction of ramps is no small feat, putting non-profit Texas Ramp Project at the forefront of this ongoing project for disabled Texans. They have the professionals and resources at hand to ensure that the ramp’s slope, handrails and overall construction guarantee good build statistics. Local Meals on Wheels volunteer alerted Granbury Senior Connection who got this particular ramp construction project going for Tom and Christine.

Locals in this town really take care of one another and this is evident when you see all the working parts that had to come together to make this possible. Tom was stationed in Germany during his time of Army service from 1959 – 1963. Granbury local and retired construction worker, Tom Bolton and wife Christine now have a safer place to live.

Thank you for your service, Tom!
